This week you have a choice of two stories. You don’t have to vote. You don’t even have to choose between the two. And there won’t even be a test afterwards. It doesn’t get any better than this…
Each week Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about.
This week is about rebellious little girls, both in the present and a long time ago in a very special garden.
Story #1
She’s Leaving Home, Again!
I can’t believe she’s leaving home again.
This is the third time this week. She walks a mile or two along the tracks, kvetches that her feet hurt, she’s hungry, she forgot to bring Puffy, who by the way is much less adorable than I am, and then decides to forgive her mother for being so rude to her.
I don’t think this is cute anymore.
Next time, I’m leaving her. I saw a hot little Collie a quarter of a mile back. I’ll pick some wild flowers and show up at her door. See what happens. Puffy be damned.
Story #2
A Mega Byte in the Garden, or
Eve and Her Talking Dog Walking Along the Railroad Track
Banished.
Banished?
Both of us.
Why? What did we do?
I don’t know. Something about you offering me a bite out of a tablet.
Tablet? What tablet?
Beats me. He said something about you kindled a sin.
Not me.
You better not let Him see you walking around on four legs.
Why?
Because he called you a snake, and proclaimed you’d crawl on your belly for the rest to your life.
Because I fed you an apple?
That’s what it was! He said it was because of the apple you gave me.
Really?
Yes, and He said to download Genesis for 99 cents to learn more.
Randy Mazie
Twice as good!
Twice I thank you.
Both of these are delightful and I know we’re not expected to vote, but I truly love the play oon words in #2.
Thanks.
I couldn’t choose one over another – I enjoyed them both Randy. Excellent!
Glad to hear that…
Dear Randy,
You said we didn’t have to vote so I won’t. Loved one more than the other.
Couldn’t you have worked in Jeff Bezos in the second one somewhere?
Aloha,
Doug
God did say that the whole affair was simply Amazon.
No, Randy, He said it was Amazing.
He said I was amazing.
Not really.
Huh?
He said you were a Mazie.
Yes, and I distinctly heard Him say that I was an amazing Mazie.
Might have been. But He never compared you to Jeff Bezos.
Well, He should have. We both have “z”s in our name….
OMG…what a brain! lol
Yes, and the psychologists are still studying it… 😉
I’m glad you’re laughing. Randy
Dear Randy,
Nowhere does it say it was an apple. How do we know it wasn’t a peach or a pear? I’ll remain strictly neutral on these two. For $1.98 you can download Exodus, too. Great dog POV.
shalom,
Rochelle
Dear Rochelle,
You have not eaten yet of the tree of knowledge. That is why you cannot differentiate between a pear, a peach, and an apple.
But rest assured little one, you will always be the apple of my eye.
G-d
Hoho, I’d banish anyone who’d take an extra bite out of my tablet, too. Both are great, but #2 is special.
thanks.
Both great! Your play on words in the second one made me groan as what was happening gradually dawned on me 🙂
I like gradual dawnings – as opposed to the crushing ones that one come too early and too fast. Randy
Randy, you’re the Apple of my I. Just because I capitalized “A” and “I”, Apple will probably sue me. Ahhh, well.
janet
Ahh, I C.
Love No. 1. Great perspective from an underappreciated dog with a surprise ending. I thought the narrator was Puffy. Well-done.
Thanks. the narrator was actually Ruff-y. As in Ruff. Ruff. Ruffy.
Leg up, squat, sit – and he doesn’t kvetch but he does fetch.
Noth are good, but story number two is EXCELLENT!!! Love the Bible and Kindle references 😄
Um…that was supposed to say “Both,” not “Noth”!
Soth thwat. Thwee all maketh typoths.
Thanks for commenthing.
😉 Randy
LOL Funny
Glad you laughed. Laughing is good.
Randy
I don’t think I could decide if I had to. Both made me smile. 🙂
Smiling is good.
Randy
Two stories two smiles.. I think a dog would feel her a Quail …
Two smiles are good.
Feel her a quail…?
As in Dan Quayle?
It’s a dogs life. A dog’s point of view makes life seem so simple.
woof. woof.*
The 2015 edition of dog expressions translates this into: I agree.
Randy
Two very enjoyable stories. Two very different dogs. Dog number 1 had better be careful what he gets up to with that collie. Anybody could be watching.
I’ll advise him of that shortly.
Thanks.
Randy
“You better not let Him see you walking around on four legs.” I like this. Thanks for the laughs. 🙂
You’re welcome.
i like laughter.
