Sam and Martha Debate Environmental Issues at Home: Friday Fictioneers Served Up Luke Warm on Monday (Better Late Than Liver)

Home is where the heat is…

Friday Fictioneers on Monday (an original take) – Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about.
This week it’s: Taking a Stand (politics and humor – hey, that’s not funny!)

Sam and Martha Debate Environmental Issues at Home

Sam, please, cut this back.
I told you Martha, I’m letting everything go natural.
Sam, it’s so overgrown. Take the bush trimmer, please.
Martha, I’m not contributing to global warming by using a gas-powered device.
Sam, since when have you become so environmentally conscious?
I’ve told you a hundred times how concerned I am.
Concerned, I understand. But this is not concern. This is refusal.
Refusal? Absolutely not. I’m taking a stand. A political action.
Oh? So, that’s what you call it? A political action?
Absolutely, Martha.
No problem, Sammy. Here’s a scythe. Have at it, politically.
Huh?

  1. Good for her!! I must admit I don’t have a bush trimmer, either or rather, mine is either a hand-operated clipper or a lopper, depending on the size of things. But I try to never let things get this overgrown so the battle with the plants doesn’t loom as large. 🙂
