They Call Me Anna

You can’t lead a horse to water, but what if the horse leads the water to you?

I have a spiritual side. People don’t believe that a horse can have that.

They’ll say that a horse is spirited; and I even knew a racehorse who was called “Spirit Ted”. But no one really believes that a horse has a true spirit or soul.

But when I started to pick up that hose and carry it over to my masters, I knew, and they knew, that I was a true child of God.

Every day they’d yell to me, “Hosanna.”

  1. I enjoyed this a lot. The voice is perfect. It took me a minuted to get the pun, because I was so distracted by the story, wondering just what had happened to her masters – because I pictured her bringing the hose to them as a lifesaving act. Yes? No? At any rate, it was heartwarming and hilarious at the same time… and very nicely crafted.

      • The painter who to me just basically splats paint color on canvas and then calls it art. When you laugh so hard your morning coffee flies out of your face…thus painting the computer screen like art work.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you …it appears you don’t have your blog set to inform alert others to replies with that little word press indicator thingy that looks like a comic voice box up between ‘New Post and your name on the right side of your screen. I thought you hadn’t replied at all. But then I figured I’d take another look…

        • I like the coffee abstract on computer screens but..
i missed the meaning of the second paragraph word montage of alkert mothers… little word press indicator…. comic voice box… please spit some more coffee and may e I’ll make more sense of it..
          😉 Randy
