Amen, Hallelujah, Praise God…. Here comes a true horse’s tale

They Call Me Anna

You can’t lead a horse to water, but what if the horse leads the water to you?

I have a spiritual side. People don’t believe that a horse can have that.

They’ll say that a horse is spirited; and I even knew a racehorse who was called “Spirit Ted”. But no one really believes that a horse has a true spirit or soul.

But when I started to pick up that hose and carry it over to my masters, I knew, and they knew, that I was a true child of God.

Every day they’d yell to me, “Hosanna.”

I enjoyed this a lot. The voice is perfect. It took me a minuted to get the pun, because I was so distracted by the story, wondering just what had happened to her masters – because I pictured her bringing the hose to them as a lifesaving act. Yes? No? At any rate, it was heartwarming and hilarious at the same time… and very nicely crafted.
