Brothers, siblings, rivals. Always teasing, testing the limits, manipulating. Like some adults we know? Even countries? Presidents, too? OK. So how will this one end?
Each week Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about. This week photo is:

Brothers:
A One-sided Conversation
Jared, I’m not going in that closet. I hate it.
Besides, the last time you said you’d pay me and you didn’t. I wasted an hour, And mom yelled at me, John, your sweet little brother, for messing it up.
The time before that you locked me inside.
I don’t care, Jared. I’m not going in.
Stop pushing me. I mean it.
M0M! There, she heard me.
Look for your own damn cell phone.
Better still, I have this app that can locate it.
For $25 bucks I’ll find it for you.
Show me the money!
M0M! Never mind! I got this.

Oops! There’s a lad who’s finishing up in the cupboard again! That Jared is a tricky fellow!
Let’s hope it works, this time.
Thanks for commenting.

The manipulated learning how to turn the tables and manipulate back? Clever story.

Thanks. Sometimes the manipulated just get tired of the whole thing.

Dear Randy,
Good for John for figuring out how to get the upper hand and turn it into a lucrative endeavor. Ah siblings. Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I like my siblings, well-done. My dear. Ah, yes.
Happy turkey day.
Randy
I can sense that one of the brothers never get the upper hand….
You think so?
Randy
He sounds old enough to stop calling for his mum when he’s in trouble!
May be so.
But I have to laugh. I still call my mum when my sister annoys me and I’m in my 60’s. Ha.
Thanks for commenting. Randy
Did he hide his brother’s phone in there, just to get paid?
I like that thinking.
Randy
Siblings are such a nuisance… especially to parents! How one learns to dislike the word “Mooooom!”
Charge them a quarter every time they use it!
Randy
Hah!
I like his entrepreneurial spirit! Nice one

Me, too.

Reminds me of by boys 🙂
Are we related?
ha.
Randy
Ah, the joy of siblings, eh? So competitive, so needling – so often don’t like each other! Nicely written, Randy
Thanks.
The intensity of sibling relationships… ah, yes.
Randy
🙂
Lovely voice and great conversation. I just hope Jared hands over the money first, but I think John is savvy enough to make sure it happens.
I agree with you.
I think this will be a case of not only “show me the money,” but “hand me the money”.
Randy
Really captures the gamut of sibling negotiations. Showing just the one side was a fresh take!
Thanks.
Randy
Siblings, They fight like enemies and strike a deal like businessmen.
Ooh, I like that phrasing!
Randy
I’m often entertained by sibling rivalry that lasts well int adulthood.
THIS is how it starts! lol
Good story.
Yes, it does. But don’t tell my sister that! LOL
