Relationships are like a roller coaster ride. Up and down. New and exciting. Challenging and… more challenging.
Each week Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about.
This week it’s my favorite: relationship humor.
The New “Leaf Rider” Roller Coaster Ride at Caterpillar Park
“Cathy, this is a great ride.”
Cathy is green inside the globe. “I can’t breathe, Carl.”
“You always panic in confined spaces.”
“Not true.”
“What about MRI’s?”
“Can you do them?”
“No. But I’m not complaining at the moment, am I?”
“No, but how long did it take to convince you to try this ride?”
“I said I could take it or leave it.”
“Yeah – and then you tried to leave.”
“We-ell. The leaf is pretty high up.”
“So, I’m afraid of closed-in places, but you?”
“Fear of heights – and relationships! Now stop it before we fall off the edge.”
Randy Mazie
A claustrophobic caterpillar has to be the most bizarre of characters. You’ve done great things with this week’s prompt.
Thank you. It was a wild leggy ride…. so to speak.
Randy
She could take it or leaf it I suppose! A fun piece indeed.
Visit Keith’s Ramblings!
Ha. I like comments like leaves… I mean these.
Very imaginative. It’s nice that bugs have theme parks too!
Yeah – otherwise they be bugging out!
Randy
I guess this chick leaves soon.. 🙂
Only if she feels suffocated by the relationship.
Randy
Something clearly bugs her about confined spaces. They are quite the sophisticated couple, talking about MRIs… or have I missed something? It’s a fun story.
Nobody ever misses anything. It is what it is unless it is what you want it to be, in which case it is, or may be, something else entirely.
Enjoy the ride.
Randy 😉
I wonder how she got inside her chrysalis?
Rosey Pinkerton’s blog
She had to wait her turn just like everyone else. 😉
Now this is thinking (writing) outside the box! Bravo!
Why, thank you for the bravo.
Now as far as outside of the box, what box were you referring to?
I didn’t see any box. Did miss something? Should I have written about a box?
Did you mean botox? Boxer? Barbara Boxer? Box car? Bagels and box? Oh, that’s bagels and lox. never mind… 😉
I’m not so sure now…probably boxer, like the dog? 😉
What a wonderful play on words. (I almost wrote about an amusement park, too. Glad I didn’t, yours is so clever.)
I’m sure yours would be clever, too. There’s always room for two (or more) amusement parks – jus because they are amusements, and we all need amusements. Randy
Very amusing.
for an amusement park, that is, I’m sure you meant.
Absolutely!
I love the caterpillar characters. A lot of fun Randy.
that’s my byline… let’s have fun.
Randy
Very inventive! 🙂
Like Centipe da Vinci? or Chrysalis Columbus?
Now that is interesting, imaginative, and funny. Well done. I do hope your caterpillars grow up into mentally balanced butterflies!
well, at least balanced… if they survive the ride!
Randy
Great metaphor! Not sure I’d ever want to go to that theme park.
Once you’re there, you won’t want to leaf.
Count me out for that ride. I’m not sure falling off the edge is a risk I’m willing to take! Fun story, Randy.
Me neither – and I don’t do closed MRI’s, either.
Interesting take. Fun to read.
I’m glad you read for fun.
Imaginative story, Randy. I wonder what an MRI on a caterpillar would look like.. Would they see a butterfly inside? Well done.. Good dialogue. 😀 — Suzanne
Ooh, I like that thought.
Led to wonder if would they charge by the foot for the MRI?
