Not everyone can play piano, with or without feet…

The Precarious Piano Playa
Walter, is that you I hear practicing?
Yes mother, that’s me.
That sounds terrible.
Sorry, mother, but it’s a new technique I’m trying out.
Really?
Yes, mother. It may take a while for me to perfect it.
Well, from what I hear, I would imagine so.
Don’t worry mother. By the time I’m done, it’ll sound well-heeled.
It sounds well-heeled already, Walter. Sounds like you’re walking on the piano keys.
That’s the way it’s supposed to sound, mother. Like I said it’s a brand-new technique.
Well, I hope it gets old real fast or you get better at it even quicker.
Oh, mother, I will get better. Along with wonderful outfits and candle light.
What did you say, honey?
I will be the best of the best –the greatest piano entertainer ever, or my name isn’t Liberace.

to quit would be to accept de-feet.
and maybe cause a bad case of hali-toe-sis
I think you nailed it, you must have the proper pedicure.
Nailed…pedicure. I get it.
I thought for a moment you were accusing me of going through rehab (taking the pedicure) for doing bad things with juveniles.
That would be horrible. Wait – is biking considered a pedalphile? Pedantically speaking, that is. Randy
the cure…. 🙂
Ah, the cure…
Your stories always flow so fluidly and your sense of humor perfectly in tact.
Speaking of flowing fluidity – try reading today’s Friday Guardeneers (nee Fictioneers).
Thanks for your compliment. Always appreciated. Randy
How clever is that… Brilliant prose.. Well done..xx
Dear Ms. Smith-Nazilli,
What a clever and brilliant comment you’ve written. Great minds write alike…wouldn’t you agree?
Randy
Indeed… and when you find them you hang on to them with both hands…xx
Writers? Or comments?
Well writers of course..xx
of course…
Ha ha, cam just imagine it, great visualisation!
Thanks – Lee was a great visualist!
Liberace–gotta love him!
Piano players can be very flamboyant. It was my pleasure to see the late Ray Manzarek perform at Red Rocks with Robby Krieger, Ian Astbury, and Stewart Copeland. Ray played with his feet and head at one point, and it still actually sounded great. I was so saddened to hear that he had passed on.
Wow. Very impressive. Thank you for sharing those high notes. Randy
Great twist!
Thanks Oliver, for the Twist comment…
Very entertaining and clever.
Liberace was – but if you’re referring to me…
ha, great turn! Liberace, of course…
loved ‘well-heeled’… very clever 🙂
Thank you.
I like that mother was so honest was him — but he was certainly determined to make it extravagant. This was a neat back-and-forth quick dialogue.
Thanks. I’m glad it was the piano and not a sword swallower or a burning coals walker.
LOL!! The last line made me laugh. I love the unconventional rendering of the dialogue – it sounds just like the kind of conversation you’d hear between a mother and her young son. Thanks for another gorgeously creative VisDare!
gulp* Goff* what nice comments* were you saying I was * gasp* a gorgeous and creative VisDare?*
or just my piece^^^ wait>>> before you answer&&& let me get my feet off of the key%%% board.
Very clever. Great dialogue and love that last line.
Thanks.
