The Best of It: The Sunday Whirl – Wordle

Whether you live on a fringe, the edge, or right smack dab in the middle of it, we make the best of it. Don’t we?

Each week The Sunday Whirl invites writers to write a poem or short prose using some or all of the “Wordle’s” 12 words. This week it is:

Wordle’s words

The Best of It

I live on a fringe, a road, and a mystery:
a slip of something that was tossed to me.
With a sigh, I made the best of it.

On a list of things that were necessary:
struggle and power were not on it.
With a sigh, I made the best of it.

All along it was a storm:
with a start, a star, and a swirl.
With a sigh, I made the best of it.

Then You stopped and asked if I wanted
a lift along that road; no charge,
you said.

I sighed: We made
the best of it.
