Fear faces us every day whether we acknowledge it or deny it.
1sojournal has posed a daily world challenge that may be responded to in a variety of ways. I have chosen this quick little poetic response which sums it up for me for the moment.
Fear
fear’s face is change
and it is always here;
eyeball to eyeball, nose to nose;
it’s breath and mocking spirit
hot on my lips, saying,
You can’t stand, still.

Wonderful, am posting it to facebook,

Thank you.
Sadly, we can’t stand still. What I hate is when we go from the sublime to the ridiculous overnight. It is hard to adjust. Smiles. Love both poem and picture.
“Sublime to the ridiculous” is a rare event in every day life, fortunately.
Not unusual in nature.
But never-the-less we all must cope with the fact that we have such little control over our lives and events…
Truly change is always with us as is fear. It’s how we respond that makes or marks us. On a different note, my original shot is now in the post.

Your response to change is apt.
And I left my comments on your site re: pic.
And still we must take the risk to act! Nice.
Yes. Or the risk, too, of inaction.
Beautifully penned. ☺
