It’s not exactly Italy, but…
Each week Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about. This week’s photo is:

Gertie And Morris Try a Little Tenderness
Gertie, I know you wanted to travel to Rome and throw those coins in the Trevi Fountaine.
I did, Morris. I really did.
What with the coronavirus and travel restrictions…
I know, Morris.
I thought at least for today. Mr. Moriyaki’s garden…
Would suffice, Morris?
Yeah, and I’ll take you to Rome next year.
I get it, Morris. I really get it. You know I love you. You really are a mensch.
Thanks, Gertie. And I promise no more watermelon buying trips.

Gertie is a practical dreamer. When the facts change, the dreams do too
I like that concept – “a practical dreamer.”
No impossible dreams here, reach for what can be within your grasp I guess. Thanks, Randy
This is beautiful, filled with so much kindness.
Yes, isn’t it? They may fight, but they really do love each other.
Sensible approach from Morris – Rome isn’t going anywhere. Could Morris have a word with some of the rest of the world please?
Gertie said, About time Morris got sensible.
She said I wouldn’t trust him with the rest of the world.
Randy
🙂 The two complement each other well.
They both say to you – thanks for your compliment.
Randy
They are welcome!
Morris should be careful with his promises. Next year’s virus outbreak might restrict them once again.
Morris says, While he appreciates you sensitivity and sensibility to the future, one cannot hold back promises of sentiment in the present.
Gertie says, Doesn’t Morris just wax poetic when he’s in his romantic mood. I just love this man to pieces sometimes, watermelons or not.
Good luck with the pandemic.
But love, too, is worldwide.
Randy
we need more gerties in the world. 🙂
I say, hear! hear!
But only for today.
She’ll be roaring back with some new complaint soon, I’m sure.
Randy
Oy, Gertie and Morris, what a couple. They should continue to have a long and happy marriage. Keinahora.
Shalom,
Rochelle
From your lips to Hashem’s ears!!!!!!
May we will be well during this difficult time
Randy
What a lovely couple they make!
Today.
It wasn’t so last week and next week will probably be worse.
But they keep on making each other miserable and happy – maybe the hallmark of all marriages.
Randy
I really enjoy these two characters 🙂
I’ll let them know,,
Randy
🙂
Aw, I was worried something was going to go wrong but it was rather sweet!
Don’t worry too much, I can assure you things will go South soon enough.
Randy
Two people who love each other and look after each other. Your piece conveys the love between them very well
Aww. Yes.
But just watch out when the you know what hits the fan.
Randy
Such a calming story. Thanks Randy.
We need calmness now.
Glad it gave it to you.
Randy
Very sweet and warm. Such a good relationship depicted in very few words. Well done
Very kind. Thank you.
But you should see what they’re like when they fight!!!!!
Great last line, and how you carry the story forward. Well penned.
I’m sorry, but I do not use a pen. Have you not heard of a computer? And I actually use a voice-to-text program – which I am happy to report today keeps me socially distanced, so you and i are both safe virus-speakingly (I hope).
Thanks for commenting. It was quite pen-sive.
