We all have our moments…
Each week The Sunday Whirl invites writers to write a poem or short prose using some or all of the “Wordle’s” 12 words. This week it is:
There are moments. When life is still.
When there is nothing. To rebel against.
When the earth is firm. And there is no quake:
Where you are, or some other part of the world.
The bottom has not fallen out. The lock remains on the door.
There is no faux news. No pen lashing out.
No need. To brace yourself. No chain. Holding you down.
No need. For crossroads. No need. For hope.
Nothing. To chase. Nothing. To be chased by.
Only sound. Maybe. In the distance.
A tolling. A bell. Off. On the waters.
Through fog. Calling dimly. Maybe. Only imagined.
Ding. Ding. Ding.
