It’s not my jet, in case you were wondering. Not my wife’s, not my daddy’s, doesn’t belong to the company I work for, nor will I be traveling in it
I will never be able to afford one. I am not a pilot. The Bentley behind me, which you cannot see, is not mine. And, no, I am not the chauffeur.
I am not going to hijack it, blow it up, or damage it.
I just like gawking at it.
It makes me wonder why I’m here.

Because you’re one great gawker! I really like this piece because it very well expresses how we sometimes all feel to be on the outside looking in. Although you and I of course are not!
Of course!
There’s no harm in gawking! Unless it turns into an obsession…
There is always GA.*

That’s a relief, I was worried I would have to go through this alone!
You are never alone.
I think he’s truly one of life’s bystanders; and nothing wrong with that if it’s what floats your boat.
No judgments here…
There are worse things than gawking. Very interesting story.
Ooh. You are so right. Thank goodness for only gawking.
Randy
Gawking at airplanes… sounds like trainspotting to me 🙂
lol.
I like the voice in this. Plain, simple, no explanations needed.
Me, too. Thanks, Randy
This is nice, outside view point, well written
Thanks.
nothing’s wrong with gawking. maybe that will encourage him to dream of the possibilities and work his ass off. 🙂
why?
Dear Randy,
What’s life without the bystanders? It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it and this person does it well. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
I agree.
But I say, it’s a great job.
It’s what allows the super rich feel arrogant, Without us, they’re just average.
The only drawback for us is that it just doesn’t pay well.
Peace, baby!
Randy
So matter of fact. So relatable.
So true.
(thanks, Dawn)
I like the pacing here.
Me, too.
Lovely. We do behave just like that from time to time.
although from the comments here, you’d think we were in the minority.
well, maybe we are.
Thanks for commenting,
Randy
So simple, yet it tells a complex story…in my head at least. But that was always a strange place, my head.
doesn’t sound much different than mine.
Head, of course.
Randy
