Or, What Jon Does When Sandra Prattles Forever On About Something or Other

“Jon, we’re so lucky to have window views like this.”
Jon, sipping his coffee, agrees.
“But that morning mist has me worried.”
“Why’s that, Sandra?”
“With the bomb threats in New York and LA schools, I worry about our kids.”

“And I don’t think that’s mist, but haze from pollution. And it hasn’t rained in 37 days. I think the climate’s changing bad here. And what if Donald Trump is right and not crazy….”
Jon leaves.
“Where you going, Jon?”
From the distance, she hears, “To board up the windows!”
