Sun. Clouds. Rains.: The Sunday Whirl – Wordle

A fun childlike poetic tribute to the failures of the leadership of our corporations, the failure of our leadership in the Justice Department, and ultimately our President and Congress. And, certainly, everyone’s failure to abide by ethical principles and a higher moral standard.

Each week The Sunday Whirl invites writers to write a poem or short prose using some or all of the “wordle’s” 12 words. This week it is:

Wordle's words

Wordle’s words

Sun. Clouds. Rains.

Sun. Clouds. Rains.
This country’s lost its brains.
Chase has bled us billions
but we cover up their stains.

CEO’s dance pirouettes
because of DOJ’s decisions;
irresolute to prosecute
and send them off to prisons.

Money. Savings. Gone.
Banks too big to fail.
Left our lives so miserable
that we’re the ones in jail.

We, and our children, pay the price
for failing in the mission;
history repeats itself
where there’s neglectful indecision.

And so today will be forgotten.
Filed away as “Moments Lost”.
Money flutters, spills, and flows.
That’s just a little business cost.

Sun. Clouds. Rains.
This country’s lost its brains.
