The Sunday Whirl invites writers to write a poem or short prose using some or all of the “wordle’s” 12 words. This week it is:
If Corporations be People
If Corporations be People,
Then Hallowed be Thy Shallowed Name,
And let it be revealed how
they influence, nay, now
buy and sell,
the Politics of the People.
They don’t dabble in the rabble, hell,
with skill they hunt and whack,
that which is center, and center left,
they blast, and blast, and blast,
and like the shattering of
ornate stained glass,
or the fracking of the earth for gas,
all is lost, nothing lasts.
Yea, see this unfold
As the Corporate Thrill of the Kill.
Lo, behold,
the Money on the Hill.

Q. Why is it that big companies have such short names?
A. Because of the stunted thinking.
I love jokes.
Corporations aren’t though.
This poem rings with bitter truth, although I wish it didn’t!
My Whirl: “Places”
me, too.

thanks for commenting.
Corporations are the new churches…except at their altars we worship false gods…obliviously it seems at times…nice style and attitude in this poem..well said!
Thanks for your comments.
Randy
