Have you ever been excited? Ha. Probably, all the time, you say. So what’s up with that…
What is 100WCGU? Each week Julia’s Place has a prompt: a few connected words, a selection of individual words or a picture. You have 100 words in order to write a creative piece.
This week’s prompt is: after all the excitement
I have used a poem to express this prompt.
Excitement
after all the excitement
after all is said and done
after the last rays of yellow
have set down beside the sun
after all the cheers and heartbreak
after all the voices strain
after all the beating hearts repair
this message shall sustain
Let go those voices in you
Bear what may you brave
After all the excitement
it is you that you must save
Hold dear to what life brings you
though temper that which you crave
from the morning to the sunset
from the cradle to the grave.

Thank you.
I read yours and my reaction was a smile and “aw”.
I wanted to leave you a note, but didn’t see how to comment. Randy
Beautiful and deep. Excellent challenge.
Thank you.
I liked your pensive entry (http://www.lisaakramer.com/2013/08/09/the-end-of-the-season-100-wcgu/)
