Resist Much, Obey Little: Five Sentence Fiction

Lillie McFerrin posts a “Five Sentence Fiction” prompt.
This week it is:BLADES
Blades-of-Grass
“Resist much, obey little.”
― Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

Like, oh wow, one minute you’re talking about roller skating and the next minute, like, I’m seeing blades of grass

“I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.”

Far f**king out, like, who said that, man?

Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass”.

Wow, he be smoking this shit, too, huh?

Randy Mazie

(with thanks to Ms. McFerrin and good old Walt Whitman)
