It’s a thin line between heartbreak and laughter…
The Sunday Whirl blog invites writers to write a poem or short prose using some or all of the “wordle’s” 12 word.
This week’s words are:
Listen, It’s a Thin Line
Listen, it’s a thin line
Between laughter and crying.
One side is as harrowing and transparent
As the other is ironic and complex.
I laugh as much as I can;
I borrow from the left, and guess at the right.
Either it works or it doesn’t,
But it’s rare I won’t try
This is the saw that I live by,
Grubs that I lustily eat,
The marching marrow of my bones,
The truest oath I daily renew.

Bridge the gap.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
HaHaHa.
😉
Excellent work grubbing through the words. mmmm…
One’s got to eat one’s grub, n’est pas?
Things to do: Laugh! 😀
Yes!
laughter – cruel or joyous … I cannot fathom its origin.
how sad… I get an image of Marcel Marceau here
I agree with your oath! A good oath to renew each day.
Ha. Amen.
Excellent, Randy. Awesome turns of phrase here.
