Don’cha just hate people who go against the normal flow. Ya ask them one thing and they’ll do the other…
Friday Fictioneers – Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about.
This week it’s: HUMOR
Elmer FODD
That eyesore’s been there for years. Elmer never fixed it. What a mah-rone!
Everyone’s complained. We even offered to help tear it down. Hell, it ain’t worth fixin’.
But no, Elmer the FODD, is a stubborn fool. Yes, I said FODD, not FUDD.
You see, Elmer goes ahead and puts up a white fence rather than doing away with the barn.
Hence, the FODD – Friggin’ Oppositional Defiance Disorder.
He’s had it ever since he was born. His mother used to smack him silly.
Now we’re not sure if he acts that way simply from FODD or because of the swats.

This is fun!
No – FODD
This is hilarious! I hate people who are like this guy. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks.
Welcome. I just read your first entry.
A virgin, eh? Well welcome to the group and the world of blogging.
Randy
Good one!
not a FODDY DUDDY?
Well, you’ve finally put a name to my malady. Yes, I suffer from FODD! I am a FODDist!
you got mail!!!!
Nice one. Sounds like my kind of neighbour. Well done.
good fences make good neighbors….
Either way, smacking a special needs child silly is not a very motherly thing to do. Poor Elmer (keep his annoying azz away from me!)
What an astute comment about the treatment of special needs children. Bravo.
Randy
😉
;-(
A FODD frown
Hey! Come on! leave the guy alone! That’s a piece of art, history. What’cha gonna tear down next? Hoover Damn? That’s old. Maybe Mt. Rushmore, that’s old. How about me? I’m old. Gonna come and tear down me? Think, maybe, you oughta be rethinking this tear attitude of yours. Positive energy; that’s what you all need. All the negativity could give a guy the runs. Okay, then.
Peace…..
I’m old, too.
Wanna put up a white fence with me?
Remember that poet who wrote about how fences make for good neighbors?
Thanks for commenting – or maybe ranting – who knows.
Randy
I know some people who resemble that FODD! 🙂
Hope you’ll be enjoying sunshine this weekend. My parents in AZ got some actual snow, at least some of the Phoenix area did, so who knows what might be headed your way???

Bite your snowman’s tongue!!!!!!!
your middle name isn’t Elmer is it ?
Oh, FODD.
Dear Randy,
I had a neighbor with this disorder. When the homes association sent threatening notices about his yard, he dug in his heels and let the grass grow until it was waist deep.
Funny stuff or should I say FODD for thought.
Shalom and Hag Samayakh,
Rochelle
Sounds like he was one hell of a FODD RUCKER
Hi Randy,
Interesting voice and you’ve created a wild and eccentric character is just a few words! Ron
brevity can breed a bounty (less is more)
I remember those smacks across the back of the head. they leave their mark one way or another.
😉
Wow – One of the FODD brothers
OMG. That was so cute.
cute is good.
thanks.
Randy
Is Elmer in his right mind? Or perhaps his left? Either one does not convince him to forego the barn. Perhaps he sees a future others cannot.
Methinks you might be giving him too much FODDin’ credit
Poor Elmer. I know a few real ones like that. And I’ve been known to suffer a case of the FODD from time to time, myself. Not through smacking, though. I think it’s my rebellious nature. I do like his white fence, though, he did a good job.
Nice to hear from an occasional FODD mucker.
