Back to the Drawing Board
Most times we get to bring to life new characters but you, you went too far. You abused everyone around you.
You yelled. You belittled. You bullied. You intimidated. Did I miss a word to describe you?
You threatened everyone around you that if we didn’t do what you told us to do, then you would rub us out. Isn’t that what you said? The exact words, buddy boy. Huh?
But you forgot how you began, didn’t you? You forgot your beginnings. You forgot who created you. You forgot that you don’t have a life on your own. You forgot that you’re not God.
So here you are, my friend, back where you started. And it’s too late now to yell or tell me that you’ll take it back or demand or make bargains or threaten or piss your pants and cry like a little baby.
You’re going back to where you started. Not even a new page. Just the page that you were created from. And then, we’re going to turn to a new page and start again – nice and fresh. Page-ula Rosa, so to speak.
We’re hoping this time we’ll get it right. We’re hoping this time we won’t have to take the legs and arms off the snake, and the apple will be left hanging on the tree right where it belongs, and nobody, nobody, will get too big for their britches. If you know what I mean.
After all, even the creator sometimes has to start over again.

We all have those little projects we wished we could just erase. I’m sure the gods feel the same way.
If it were only that simple, no?
If only all my problems could be erased so easily!
Ya think?
