Friday Fictioneers – Rochelle Wisoff-Fields posts a pic to write a 100 word story about.
This week it’s:
John and Karen Hawk the Fair
Karen. This is smart.
What, John?
If you buy a toy that flies, you wanna protect your eyes.
Oh.
Like that booth selling salted nuts and cold drinks.
John, everyone wants a drink after something salty.
What about the one before that?
Which?
The one selling turtles and hares.
Turtles and hares?
Yeah, the sign read, “WAX ON/ WAX OFF”.
John, you jerk, that was a TURTLE WAX booth.
Oh. Well, how about the wedding booth next to that machine gun booth?
I’ll bite…
Groom goes boom?
(Silence)
The bride that died?
John, stop shooting blanks.
Randy Mazie
Randy,
Lots of fun, lively, playful dialog. You should have fun at the fair.
Good Story! The link to my story is messed up. My story is here: http://bridgesareforburning. wordpess.com Ron
sorry but as of now the link doesn’t work both here and on Rochelle’s site.
Fun dialogue, i like very much…groom goes boom…i hope not lol
thanks.
“Groom goes boom” was much more appropriate that
“the groom bangs the bride.”
Great play on words here – very original. Well done.
Thanks. A sort of FAIR piece, I’d say.
🙂
Oh, so you’re a woman of few words, I see.
I like that in someone. Mysterious. Great smile.
I tried to email Ron to tell him his links aren’t working.
As for your story, Randy…fun play with words. Shooting off your pen again.
Yup. Just clicked my BIC.
Or since this is a FAIR, I used my Barker Parker.
My wife said I was shooting Montblancs.
Randy
This was better than FAIR, Randy. I like the way you paired everything up. An excellent take on the prompt.
Thank you. Yours wasn’t too Fair-off yourself.
Fair thee well. Randy
Love play with words, and groom goes boom is perfect. 🙂
thanks, Randy
Dear Randy,
You are slowly carving out a niche for yourself with your wordplay episodes. Good job this week.
Aloha,
Doug
How niche of you to say that 😉
Randy
Very nice and clever word play!
The fair seems interesting, I’d wanna visit too! 🙂
Please come visit, no need for BYOB*
*bring your own booth
we’ll supply you with all the booths you’ll need.
Uh, just BYOM*
*bring your own money
Thanks for stopping by,
Randy
shooting blanks. ha!
that’s what she says!
Your word play is so much fun. It’s a delight to read. Great last line!
Thank you…
but that last line left me blank.
Ha ha ha! 😀
Fun play on words. Enjoyed it.
I’m glad.
Randy
That was clever… liked the Turtle Wax booth… are you sure you aren’t related to Russell?
Thanks.
As far as my relation to Russel, you’ll have to ask him.
Most kin don’t like to admit I’m related to them.
I can’t imagine why though.
Sometimes I feel like P.D. Eastman’s “Are you my mother?”
Fun story.
Thanks – just be careful around that marriage and machine gun booth…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Clever!!! Great!
Thanks for sharing the laughter.
Randy
