Job Placement Program for Unemployed Seasonings
(or the Seasonally Unemployed)

I don’t think I can live through another meal.
Where are the syrups?
Gone once they heard that this wasn’t the House of Pancakes.
What is it?
Barbecue.
Ugh. I hate getting all sticky
Pancake House would have been just as bad.
The agency told me that I was going to a Japanese restaurant.
Do you see any soy sauce, kiddo? Boy, they suckered you.
They told me it was a hot dog joint.
Sorry, Mr. Gulden. You poor poupon.
Not funny.
So Hot-stuff, don’t relish the work?
Who do you think you are – one of the spice girls?

  1. Hi Randy,
This is definitely Mazie fare not to be confused with country fair, state fair or unfair. You do know that a pun is the lowest form of pastry, right? But enough puntification on my part. Thanks for the giggles.

    • Methinks you’re a little PUNCHY here, Rochelle.

This was a very serious highbrow piece reflecting themes of despair and economic distress
set against an economy that is not recovering quickly enough to accommodate
the jobs needed by Herb, Al, and Gusto, as well as all the other other deserving
      American workers.

To be FAIR, I suggest you reread the first chapter once more.

      Randy

      • Or did you mean, “To be fare?”…not that I want to poupon your comment, of course. You’re peppering us with a lot of things we can relish as usual. After all, that’s your recipe for success. There are so many possibili-teas here. Bumpa bumpa ba, I’m lovin’ it.

  2. I love your stories, Randy. Especially the comments from the condiments, or is it the condiments in the comments. I never can get this stuff right.

Have some fun...
