From Julia’s Place: What is 100WCGU?
Each week there is a prompt: a few connected words, a selection of individual words or a picture. You have a limited number of words to write a creative piece.
This week’s prompt is: (see this week’s prompt site by clicking here)
…. Murray was just about to serve for the Championship when…
The limit is 110 words including the prompt which must be in the piece and not split.
Grandpa, Grandma, and Murray’s Championship Balls
“Things happen in the blink of an eye. Keep your eye on the ball. Life doesn’t always work out the way you expect”.
Oh no, it’s the Murray story again. Jared shuddered.
“Grandpa…”
“It was the last game of the match …”
“Grandpa, I got to go. I’ll listen later.”
“Remember, Murray was just about to serve for the championship when…”
“He took his eyes off of his balls!”
“Jared, don’t you dare make fun of Grandpa,” Grandma yelled from the kitchen. “Or you know what I’ll do to both your eyes and your…”
“Grandma!”
Jared grimaced, looking down in imagined pain, and yelled, “Byyyeeee… Love ya.”

Nice way to take on the challenge. Gotta check this out sometime
Yeah… another fun prompt.
Nice! I think we can all relate to how Jared is feeling. Great play on words.
Thanks.
Ha-ha – very good! (PS Do you know your link from Julia’s blog has an extra h at the beginning?)
yes, thanks, Typing is not my forty
Well – handled! You’ve mistyped your linky so it doesn’t link thru. Ask Julia to amend the http address (as she had to do for me, recently)
I looked to see if she had an email address but I didn’t see one on her site. I didn’t want to drop a post about it. Typing is a two fingered experience for me along with spell check, eye check and check check. Thanks for the head’s up
You made me laugh, and with teenagers of my own, this is a very realistic conversation! LOL! Thanks for the smile.
glad to be doing my job… stop by for some more laughs. Randy
