A Psalm of the Oppressed

We are trampled upon, the young and old, the working man, the single parent, asked to do more, give more, and do with less. For what? Why?

While others take, and take more and more, and pay less,
give less, and care less.
Greedy tyrants: the history of the world still profits on…

Return, O Champions of the Oppressed

Kings of all nations lie in state; once interred,
no longer mighty their decrees.
But mighty, mighty, mighty
is the sun which sets and rises daily.
The oppressed, Selah, suffer too long
            the vanities of kings.
Suffer them no more.
O Judges,

Return, O Champions of the Oppressed,
restore community,
fairness, and praise God.
