Cross the Line or Else: Julia’s Place 100WCGU

From Julia’s Place: What is 100WCGU?

Each week there is a prompt: a few connected words, a selection of individual words or a picture. You have a limited number of words to write a creative piece.

This week’s prompt is: (see this week’s prompt site by clicking here)
…. the line was drawn ….

The words in the prompt must not be split and should be suitable for a PG certificate, made up of 100 words (or less) added to these 4 words for a total of 104 words..
This is my entry…

Cross the Line or Else

The line was drawn but the other kid still yelled,
Hey, finish it.
Finish what?
The other line.
The other line?
Yeah.
You want me to draw another line?
Yeah, and cross it.
Hey, I’m the one drawing the line.
So? You still have to cross it.
You cross it.
That’s not how it works.
Oh yeah?
Yeah.
I don’t like the way you’re talking to me.
Cross the line or else.
Or else what?
You’ll see.

And when all the lines were crossed,
And the last square had an “o” drawn in,
The kid hollered, See?
Tic Tac Toe.  I win!
